Today

Today feels like the first day of summer break for us! The weather is quite warm and humid. I have been able to accomplish some computer work: download photos, and materials I'd like to read. We also started a big clothing sort/declutter. Look out Goodwill, here we come!

The kids have been helping me along with reading and playing. We started the morning reading lots of picture books. They went with Dad this afternoon on a plumbing expedition. We need a new knob on the bathtub! No luck yet.

Still thinking over all I'd like to accomplish this summer....

Heard at the breakfast table

The conversation this morning was regarding the class the girls would be going to this afternoon. B couldn't remember if she was to meet at the office or somewhere else.

"Well, what did Ms. Mc say at the end of your last class?"

"I don't remember."

Now, T, the four year old, isn't really participating in this conversation, mind you. Which is why howls of laughter erupt when he says,
"You can't talk when you're dead."

So after a little "digging" we find out that while we've been talking his mind has been going back to a sword-fight scene he'd watched with Daddy the night before. Count of Monte Cristo.

I'm still smiling.

Beginning something new!

Well, this is new for me. I'm wanting to expand my horizons, so here is one way to do it. I'll post more later on where the name comes from.
